Writing has been my lifelong passion as well as my profession. My hobby is fiction writing. I’m addicted to Wordle, Spelling Bee, and the New York Times crossword puzzle. My favorite piece of furniture is the vintage oak dictionary stand in my home office. I’m the kind of word nerd who bores his wife with constant critiques of books and articles, from style to punctuation.

We live in Franklin, Tennessee, a charming town located 20 miles south of Nashville that was founded in 1799. With its lush landscape and vibrant art community, Franklin is a great place for my wife, Jeanne, to pursue her passion of plein air painting. Before moving here three years ago, we’d lived all our lives in California and Hawaii. Now we’re frequent fliers who bounce back and forth between Franklin and San Diego to visit our children and grandchildren.
